Day 3 homeschooling and Day 5 isolation/extreme social distancing: It was a no schooling day.
The kids ate nothing but junk. Niels requested “bo-ree-toes” (doritos) many times. I obliged.
Margaret and Niels played Polly Pockets like it was 1989.
They spent 2 hours outside and somehow have the equivalent of $200 highlight now. How?
I didn’t sleep much last night because I had Coronavirus-anxiety-induced insomnia, but I wasn’t tired? I also had no appetite—thanks anxiety! But I’m on Zoloft again, so I’m much more pleasant to be around.
I can’t believe there are people still debating whether this is serious.
I picked up Margaret’s education packet from her school and can’t figure out how to adequately profess my undying love to her teacher.
Henning had to go into work for some on-site virtual meetings.
Everyday I acknowledge how privileged we are to stay home as much as possible (which is a whole hell of a lot) and how privileged we are to have flexible work schedules.
Tomorrow we figure out how to get back on this homeschooling horse. On the plus side, my kids told each other how much they love each other and that they’re best friends. So maybe we’re just gonna call it a year. Thank you, next.
The pictures show the good parts. Flatten the curve. Virtual hugs only.
