Greetings! Homeschooling day 4 and Isolation day 6 (I think. I didn’t know what day it is until noon and rumor has it it’s the first day of Spring)
We did some computer learning this morning. Niels is in first grade now. Margaret did kindergarten lessons because she already knows all those answers.
We told the kids that they can’t get hurt badly because we can’t go to the hospital and they took that as a challenge…Niels has a bruise and goose egg in the middle of his forehead AND a forking black eye. He doesn’t know how the black eye happened, but did say he fell on the deck of his boat bed. Margaret swallowed a LEGO. SHE IS SEVEN. She dropped a lego into the mouth of one of her babies and sucked it out like she was a battlefield nurse and it went down her throat. Y’all.
And speaking of babies, Margaret has set up Baby Academy in the family room and all the babies have personalities and there are cliques. It’s DAY SIX.
Niels melted down this afternoon and actually said, “I GUESS YOU DON’T WANT ME TO HAVE ANY FUN!!!!!!!!” Because we wouldn’t let him have a glass bowl to put grass and rocks in, but we did offer him like seven plastic bowl alternatives. Bless it.
We are all feeling the stress, for sure.
The kids did a scavenger hunt sent my Margaret’s amazing teacher.
Mo Willems is a hero.
Also? When I’m not leaving the house, I just put on the clothes from the day before. So, if someone could remind me that I need to not wear these black leggings for weeks, that’d be great.
Virtual hugs. Happy spring. Good night.
